The end of the world - that kept the Europeans Portugal's wild and romantic west coast up to the 15th century! 

It has been no coincidence that among the great navigators of the golden age of discoveries used to be many Portuguese and Portugal became in this era one of the first world power at sea! 

Today, this small country on the Iberian Peninsula leads rather a shadowy presence behind its big neighbor Spain. 

For what does the average tourist usually know abaout Portugal? 
Beside the Algarve and the former cultural capital Lisbon probably not too much ...! 

But this diverse, multi-faceted and hospitable country deserves so much more! 

Our journey takes us to the north of the country, a region that is among the poorest and most unspoilt areas of "old Europe". 

We drive through nature parks with fantastic landscapes, in search of some hidden idyll and push us through the narrow streets of picturesque granite villages. 

On beautiful slopes durrch cork oaks, mimosa and eucalyptus forests, crisp trails through fascinating granite landscapes and romantic winding streets we get to the Atlantic. 

On the way back we also overcome Portugal´s highest mountainrange, the Serra do Estrela  and it enchants us with breathtaking views! 

It is high time to discover this unknown and perhaps  most beautiful end of Europe with us!
